God's Garden

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the Earth
And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on Earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
and the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids,
 and whispered, "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
For a part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

If we could have a wish today,
It would not be for a million dollars or for gold,
But just to have you back with us,
As in the days of old.

As we look upon your pictures,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.

A million times we needed you,
A million times we have cried.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have died.

Day's have passed now
As we watch in sorrow.
Knowing that there
Would not be a tomorrow.

So many tears,
So much pain.
In our hearts
It will always rain.

With your heart of gold
And your beautiful face.
How could we ever
Forget your embrace?

To have had a wife and mother like you,
Has been a family's dream come true.

Rest in peace, be free of pain.
No more tears and no more rain.

To us you were the best.
It will break our hearts to lay you to rest.

But now you can dance around God's garden
With the new leg God gave to you.
Pick and smell the flowers,
We had God plant them just for you.

Every time you pick and smell a rose
You can think of Dad below.

He had God plant you every color,
But the red ones are the best.
Those are the roses Dad gave to you,
The day you went to rest.

The lilies in the garden
And the pansies all around,
God planted them from your children,
And they will always stay in bloom.

God gave you the birds from your grandchildren.
So when you hold out your finger,
A bird will sit upon it.
So it can sing a beautiful song.

The butterflies in the garden,
God gave to you from your great-grandchildren.
So when one lands upon your shoulder
And stays there for a while
That's to let you know you're loved
From the bottom of their hearts.

So when you want our presence go to the garden.
It was made just for you.
The waterfall in God's garden
Is from Dad because of his love for you.

We'll see you there in God's garden someday,
When our time has come.
So for now enjoy your garden
From the LOVE of everyone!
